| Exactly my thoughts, just couldn't put it into words! Hit the nail on the head I think. | |
| Radiohead – Little by Little Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Little by little by hook or by crook Never get nervous Never get judged I'm no idiot I should look I'm not entirely sure but my best interpretation would say that this person is living a bad lifestyle, not taking notice of people's views or opinions (Never get nervous, Never get judged). I'm no idiot - I should look, could be a reference to this person coming to the realisation that they may infact be being judged, whereby 'I should look' meaning the person should take notice of these views. |

| Radiohead – Bloom Lyrics | 15 years ago |

They certainly began the album with the most ambiguous tune! I'm thinking it's about the evolution or 'bloom' of the earth and the universe. 'Open your mouth wide' could be referring to a physical look of amasement of what we've come from to what we are today, before Thom explains this process. 'The universal sigh' in my opinion is a reference to the big bang, the beginning of the universe. 'And while the ocean blooms It's what keeps me alive' could be explaining how all life today began as bacteria in the ocean. The ocean keeping this bacteria 'alive'. 'So I lose and start over Don't blow your mind with why' These two lines may be a connection with the advancement from ocean life to land life and the impossibility (or near impossibility) of comprehending how or why this happened. 'Lose and start over' meaning that for some reason an animal has left the ocean for survival and started again on land. 'I'm moving out of orbit' possibly a link with space travel; a statement of our advancement from bacteria in the ocean to developing the capability of visiting other planets. I would go on but i'm way too tired, would love to hear if anyone thinks I'm anywhere near his intentions! |
