GREAT! first one to comment First off, this song is incredible to me. The first time I heard it blew me away. The song puts a crazy amount of emotion into the story, which seems pretty straight forward. A lady was already in a relationship when she found new love coming fast then ended horribly with a mistaken child. Sometimes I get confused about who's saying what in the song. I think that in the end when he sings "Don't you cry mama, we'll be ok.", it's the child telling the mother everything will be okay when it's really not. It's quite a sad image and the piano riff to me compliments the irony. I'm sure there's more to the song but that's all I've got. Could it be that Jason is the child of this unfortunate event? |
