I think this is more about a person expressing her own thoughts. Unlike me - she is the odd one, the one who lives her own life and she is repeating sentences what others have said to her. SHe is living intensely according to what she feels and thinks. Other people are asking questions because they don't know how to swing their arms aroung. The girl is on the rollercoaster, but she knows that she is the same person no matter what she does. Even if others think she is strange, at least she is not pretending Time doesn't really exist |

I see this song describing all the influence that is coming from outside. Some whispers around the trees, the muddy dog dragging the clothes, the junipers shade. People are always talking, being jealous, somebody trying to change your mud or just leading into the lies. The farmhouse burning down is something unexpected happening in your life It's all cinder and smoke, all you can do is wash the bad past away (pray for the rain) and continue with your life (burn again). I feel the song has strong religious influences |

The video and the story behind the lyric is a love triange. Axl and Izzy loved the same girl. The video is from another girls perspective, who would forgive anything to be with him. And axl would give anything to be with the blond girl, thinking about her till the day he dies The lyrics are free for personal interpretation. It could be the girl who is saying that there's something in your eyes (love) and that she already know his feeling towards have grown. That he doesn't need to hide it, she is completely honest with him. Either she doesn't love him enough or she is in a relationship. In a way she loves him, so she tries not to hurt him. His perspective. He understands that their fling was just short term. Her feelings have changed and either she is going to stay with her old boyfriend or just going away. He knows what she is thinking and tries to comfort her, that he is not really hurting. But if she would just give him a sign, he would be there for her. |

Well this song can have a many interpretations as you wish, I see this song as a boy dreaming of a girl. He tries to figure her out and get closer. They struggle with their lives and searching for shelter. The boy knows that she is the one who will help him and his heart is aching for her. Perhaps the girl is with someone else or is just too far away. He is having some doubts if they will ever get together, but then he is telling the devil to go back where he came and decides they will have the future together. THe video protraits his secret wish that the girl would come and save him (lay her body down), so that he will not have to do anything to conquer her |

I agree with most things said about the personal point of view or the abstract meanings. But for the relationship.. I see this as a guy talking to himself. He's a cannibal, he has left so many girls behind, he makes mistakes and fails in relationships. But he has that special girl in his heart. And maybe she's the same. They are living their lives and he stays around and hopes someday she will call him. He knows he has a heart, but he has to change a bit for this girl. So he decides to live his life now, to sort some things out and hope for the best |

Very straightforward. Doesn't make friends for friendship sake - I think it's a girl who really cares about her friends and doesn't care about causal friends and being popular she just gets bored sitting by the lake, her soul won't surface and her heart won't ache. - seems to be more about the incompatibility than the flwas of this girl. She doesn't get the romantic vibes with him and she will not open up for him, but he feels she has a soul and heart Cure his disease - not sure if this is about his friend helping him out with trying to win this girl or helpin him to forget her now we'll never see him move - this could be about moving on or being too afraid to make a move on her. |
