I like what freedomryan's got, I think he's on the right track. I'd add in that this song is about ambition, and not giving up. It's quite often metalcore and posthardcore bands give in and lose their hardcore qualities, but this band hasn't done that and they're proud of it. I'd like to know what people think about the end part of this song "Every step that we've taken made with you in mind." |

I think it could more or less follow up on "in loving memory" about Mark's mom that died from cancer. In this song the line "So I sing this song tonight" reminded me of the chorus from "in loving memory" And I know You're a part of me And it's your song That sets me free I sing it while I feel I can't hold on I sing tonight 'Cause it comforts me Just another way of looking at it. |
