Boys Night Out – This Broken Killswitch Lyrics 14 years ago
When I was in high school art class, I was big into stacking cut out sheets of words (usually song lyrics, poetry, pages from books, et cetera) in different sizes and fonts to make different shades of grey from a distance to make an image. The first piece I did in this style resulted in detention, because without my knowing, the phrase, "You want to talk about pain? Let's talk about pain, motherfucker." was in the dead center of the focal point of the image. I blame Boys Night Out's excellent outlet of expression for my not so excellent teenage outlet of expression's downfall.

The Tallest Man on Earth – King of Spain Lyrics 15 years ago
Could "The King of Spain" be Bob Dylan? Provoking "bulls," or unforgiving, brutal critics with words, wearing "boots of Spanish leather," et cetera . . . He suggests that he would be this king of Spain if he could "reinvent [his] name," and "redirect [his] day." Bob Dylan (who, as we remember, "reinvented" his name from Robert Zimmerman) the Woody Guthrie-evoking folk singer happened a long, long time ago. Maybe that's the "day" he would "redirect." If this is the case, my respect for this dude has grown even more. As Bob was to Woody, Kristian Matsson is to Bob.

The Tallest Man on Earth – The Gardener Lyrics 15 years ago
I keep seeing the lyric as ". . . there ain't no cowboy in my hair," which doesn't make sense to me. It doesn't follow the slant rhyme pattern demonstrated in the other verses either. Doesn't it make more sense for the lyric to be "There ain't no cowboy in my hat." . . . ?

The Tallest Man on Earth – The Blizzard's Never Seen the Desert Sands Lyrics 15 years ago
I get the same idea as Julietson. If it's self-expressive in the least, maybe it's about travelling to America to play American Folk-styled music as a Swedish native. Not to say there's anything wrong with that; the dude is outstanding. It's a great song.
