| This is a gorgeous song - my favorite by them. I really dig how the music gets a little darker during the "more.." part of the song. I think it's about a relationship ending before it actually gets too serious (i.e. the hand that you sometimes hold, the face that you see in the door, in and out of my life) - it makes me think they aren't a full-on couple and maybe don't live together, just dating - but one person wants more from the other, a committment. i want to think that "only time can run me" means that time might run her down to settle and stay in it, but that's probably off base. Either way, it means what it means to the listener and it's a kick ass song regardless! | |
