Randy Newman – I Want You To Hurt Like I Do Lyrics 14 years ago
So it doesn't look like many come along this way. Maybe it's just that this song leaves everyone speechless. It is one of the most insightful lyrics I've ever come across . . . the universality of this emotion, wanting to share the pain of our lives, is undeniable and its implications are beyond measure: Love and hate, war and peace, all manner of artistic expression . . . fueled by this desire. Randy Newman . . . what can I say? You understand humanity, and you have made that understanding accessible to the rest of us. Thank you.

Steely Dan – Dont Take Me Alive Lyrics 14 years ago
It took over 9 years to come up with the correct interpretation? Thanks Durable One . . . nicely done. And let me say . . . the interplay of guitar and bass in the intro (and throughout . . .) is a hook that won't let you go until it's over . . . still wanting more! Thank you Steely Dan! (RS incarnation . . . )

The Who – Listening to You Lyrics 14 years ago
This segment/anthem has an inspirational quality which is unparalleled in rock music of that era. The entire opera is pulled together in this passage, and leaves the listener with a sense of resolution. Kudos, especially, to the immortal Keith Moon!

Joni Mitchell – Little Green Lyrics 15 years ago
Echoing hab204 . . . it is brilliant. The lyrics are so spare, but the vision and emotions that the words evoke are so robust and strong: Heart-wrenching. If you don't cry when you listen to this you aren't paying attention . . . and if you are a parent . . . maybe takes it to another level.
