Its about a love that is so strong that when they (whether it be lovers or sisters) were going to lose the person they took it upon themselves to preform a ritual suicide in order to keep themselves together. the willow tree could represent a place or memory that is significant to the individuals, a place that they felt safe and comfortable with, where they knew they would be reuinited in the afterlife. |
