I love love love this song. I see it a few different ways; For one, it could be about how she's in this relationship with someone, and they fight, and have drama, like all relationships. But he keeps her warm, so she doesn't care. She doesn't want to put on a show anymore, and she's letting her defenses down for him. Another way I see it, is basically the same, except in said relationship, she's sick of the fights and the drama, and there's a third person who keeps her warm. Something like that? Either way, it's a great song. |

I feel the lyrics could be either apologetic or sarcastic. The lyrics themselves seem more apologetic at first, but after listening to it so many times, I feel it's more sarcastic. He seems to be addressing himself in the way someone else has addressed him. It's like he's saying "Yeah. These are all the things wrong with me. And you're perfect. Of course." Especially in the chorus. The way he says "I really fucked it up this time; Didn't I my dear?" gives me chills every time. I think if anyone said that to me with the same tone, my heart would shatter with guilt. Such a fabulous song. (: |
