Agree with people who say that this song is about leaving a person in a difficult minute. I wanted to add that the music really depicts this destruction. The singer lost everything(even his mind) when other person left him. I can also imagine how his head is 'falling apart' because of this machinery sound - wheels are gradually starting to move faster, uncontrollably and fall... :D |

| In my opinion, the singer's life is ruined and already destroyed. He became noone, has no purpose in life.. but still. there is a little piece of hope in his heart, and he is not ready to face this 'good' feeling, so firstly, he tries to question it. He knows that 'she' is his last hope. And he would do anything to make her stay because he knows is she won't stay she will also be ruined by the world(which has already happened to him) But he sincerely loves her and wants to save her. However, he realises that the brightness of the world seduced his friend, so the chance of her coming back, to 'their place'(let it be ocean... because perhaps it reminds him of their past, of their best moments in life together) is really really small, and it makes him sad and melancholy. So he sits near the ocean and imagines what the future would be like if the destiny let them be together. And the girl still isn't here.. because she is far away.. where she chose to be. Then the singer decides to dive into the sea. I can see how water pulls him farther from the shore and eventually below the surface. He finds peace there because there is nothing left which can remind him of her except from the sea. While he is slowly moving towards the bottom he starts to feel her... to feel her emotions and sorrow... his heart and mind strongly connected to her... that is because they are actually very similar people andhave already became parts of each other. | |
