i think you right about him and the drugs, but i don't think thats whats killing him. because the drugs are apart of his other life but what i see it as is him announcing his suicide. "Tell all my friends I said goodbye, lenched teeth and fluttering eyes" I can't go on like this. you don't really announce that your going to overdose on a drug that he rely on and allows him to have a good time with. the clenching teeth might just be from anger or numerousness. "I've made my bed, so I'll lie in it. I've dug my grave so I'll die in it." that could be the place where he kills himself using the bed as a metaphor for his grave. the title itself The Countdown could also mean hes counting down the days the mins the seconds till he kills himself. |
