I think this is a song about a victim of sexual abuse killing themselves ("The last thing that I\'ll feel will be today "). It makes me cry because of what Ian Watkins has been charged with.\n"You took apart my soul... I\'ll never feel this way again." Maybe this is the victim talking to the person who hurt him, saying, you f*cked me up. \nAnd the line "I lost my positivity, I\'m positively lost" is the victim stating how he feels after. \n"You put me on my knees and cut my throat." The abuser may as well have pulled the trigger themselves. \nThe powerful ending with "This is how it feels!" makes me feel like maybe the narrator is explaining his feelings through extreme violence and despair.\n\nPowerful song. |

I like my version of the lyrics better, even though according to here I’m wrong. I always thought the song was about a dog. I took the lyrics pretty literally: “chewin’ on a bone” and “you make sure I eat today.” I imagine it’s a dog that, at the beginning, was hit by a car (“something hit me right between the eyes”), and had a bad life. The dog had an owner who hardly cared about him (“hardly even knew your name”) before he was “stranded.” And of course the line “how you saved my life” would be the dog letting his new loving owner know how grateful he is. |

Lily Allen is a flippin’ genius!!! This is my favorite song of hers. This song oozes sarcasm. That’s why I love its rather up-tempo beat and its quite happy, bouncy beginning. She’s saying some profound stuff that shouldn’t go with this music… but it does! This is the theme for my life… |

I’ve gotta say, this is one of the more hypnotizing, addicting songs I’ve heard in a long, long time. “Caldera” is Spanish for “cooking pot,” which I think makes what Martian Matt says true. Hermosa caldera means something like “gorgeous cooking pot.” One of my favorite lines is “I’ll be there to take care of you if ever you should decide that you don’t want to waste your life in the middle of a lovesick lullaby,” which I take to mean like, “You are wasting your life right now because you’re not with me, you’re with some sickening fool.” I have heard this song over and over and over again, and I’m never going to get sick of it. |
