| Children 18:3 – Hey, Driftwood Lyrics | 15 years ago |

This is one of my favorite songs by Children 18:3, however, I don't exactly know what it means! In my interpretation: 'I thought about the things we'd lost and won' He is looking back at his life, thinking about things past. 'I confess I was falling asleep with a whirlwind at my door' He realized he could have done more than he did, he was asleep when a whirlwind of happenings was just at his door (or something like so). 'Always to the east our eyes are looking at the dawn, Formally requesting, but the answers never come' She says we live asking questions that may have no answer (yet). 'Oh, a hundred years could pass, What is forever?' I think it is obvious what she states, what lasts forever in this life? 'In a moment here we all may die' 'Father Time has not appointed us forever' WE WILL NOT LIVE FOREVER. If you have a better interpretation of this song pease post it so I can see! |
