| say what? thankfully I don't have to look thru your jaded eyes. "homosexuality's negative stance within society" ...say that to another minority and see if it fits. I look forward to all of your children being gay and what you need to eventually deal with...wake up | |

As a viewer see's a painting, your eyes are unique, just as your experience and sometimes we see eye to eye with others. For me, this is a song about the shifting of the old earth paradigm and the chaos that is a part for the new foundations to be built but only after the old, that no longer serve our optimal purpose, fights to remain as it falls apart. The past few generations that have incarnated have come to tear this draconian pyramid down and also hold a light in such a dark time. Many conscious people feel so alone and that their path is bombarded by these cold heartless warmonger blood thirsty vampires. It's what this world does to people, gifted, sensitive and to the core, good hearted and ripped apart... Isolated and caught in between the war within... " I got nobody on my side and surely that ain't right" When their is such internal conflict, its almost like watching the dual nature rip itself into pieces, until we fight and pick up the pieces... support from those who care is only a fraction when you get to the conscious age or stage that you realize, you have to go alone and deal with the ghosts within, the shadow and come out the other size with a few pieces towards becoming whole and in a space of healing on a foundation that embraces us, just as we have created a catalyst within. |

So a friend and I were talking about Sigur Ros since he made their show and I didn't. He was fortunate to spend time with them afterwards and fell into deep discussion about many things but one was the beauty of sound and how much one can channel their pain and suffering through it in order to salvage themselves from the emotional wreckage. The discussion was eventually swayed into and about Ny Batteri and the topic of rape and sexual abuse came up attached with it. Abuse that occurs from someone close to the victim/survivor and the trust mixed with the role of the parent/family/community member that has betrayed and the wounds that are opened so easily by triggers etc. I hear a few people say that they cannot believe Sigur Ros would ever have such darkness in their works but in reality this is art. This is the safe place to express such energies and especially about a topic like rape/abuse that is looked over so easily throughout the past, especially when it comes down to the male as the victim/survivor. As all art and music in my view has it's own meaning personally, I don't feel attached to a set definition or meaning that come from the artist or fan. It's up to the individual to define. I found this interesting as a topic in the whole itself because Sigur Ros are so awake, aware and fucking beautiful that I tend to listen to certain stories and views from those I feel I connect with on levels.---regards |

| @ Sortilegus, if the music here in the US is American Idol and thats all you really see here as dominant, I feel bad for you. Go to Portland OR, Austin TX and a few other spots where the music scene is popin' off. Sooooo many flavors and such talent... we need to get you away from where ever you are and all you see if American Idol is the image at hand for what the US has to offer. You don't have to go very deep underground to find the dank... | |
