The Damned – Stranger On the Town Lyrics 14 years ago
Makes me think of some young stud getting ready to pick up Audrey Hepburn for a date, doing a little shuck and jive while styling his hair and tweaking his clothes. Don't know why, but it's a very, very cool tune.

The Damned – Machine Gun Etiquette Lyrics 14 years ago
Definately rivals American hardcore with it's frantic pace and blunt message.

The Who – Who Are You? Lyrics 14 years ago
Truly profound lyrics that could be taken many different ways. For me, it brings back memories of being a troubled teenager, homeless, finding solace in drugs and alcohol with my wholigan (pun intended) friends, then looking for a car or secluded part of the park to lay down for the night. Thankfully, my wife of 15 years took pity on me back then and gave me direction and worked with my nihilistic, bitter and angry outlook to bring me around. The Who are easily my favorite band, simply because they depict who I am with tremendous accuracy. They are past their prime and lost two legendary band members, but I'll always wave the Union Jack for them and light a candle for Moonie and The Ox.

Canned Heat – Going Up The Country Lyrics 15 years ago
I've always considered Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull the most kick ass flute player in rock and roll. Great song, though.

Canned Heat – On The Road Again Lyrics 15 years ago
For some reason I've always thought this song had a very dark and sinister under-current. It conjures an image (in my mind) of a serial killer drifting from one location to another without a trace.

The Who – Melancholia Lyrics 15 years ago
Totally under-rated. Lesser songs by the Who got more attention and accolades. Way ahead of it's time.

Queen – Let Me Entertain You Lyrics 15 years ago
Hmmm. I always thought Jazz was one of, if not their best, albums. Each to their own.
