| Patrick Watson – Wooden Arms Lyrics | 15 years ago |

I think it's "and help me close my wooden eyes that weep just like a willow tree" this is definitely about a lover who isn't reciprocating affection or care, yet he relishes every moment he's in his lover's "wooden arms." if everything was black and white he wouldn't be confused or be feeling torn between letting himself love foolishly because he's being neglected, or turning away completely. patrick watson is incredible, the analogy between himself to the willow and love to tough and uncomfortable "wooden arms" is beautiful. not to mention the marionette-esque feeling of the music. very eery yet dreamlike |
