i agree with the comments about this song being about addiction, it definitely is 100% about that. it's SUCH a beautiful and clever metaphor for perhaps a psychological battle with cocaine: "blazing with light is the whitest and the tallest and the biggest one all muscled and fine when she runs" (the best cocaine/the best feeling in the world) "they're tearing up holes in the house they're tearing their claws in the ground they're staring with blood in their mouths mama they won't let me out" ^^^ such emotionally effective symbolism for an addict trapped by what he loves most. i think this whole album is a very detailed and subtle narrative of growth through the journey of drug addiction |
