I absolutely adore this song. I was going to sing this at some special party a few months ago, but every time i practiced singing it, i would get all teary eyed and my voice would falter, especially around the part where she is telling herself she's going to wind up killed...needless to say i couldnt perform, lest i start bawling my eyes out in front of all those peeps lol I just find it amazing that even someone like me who has no connection whatsoever to domestic violence can be that affected by the lyrics/story. its that powerful of a song. |

Im pretty sure the line is
"my mom had been a rather crazy queen" not "around the graves of queens"
and "born to him the night still young" is "born to him with ears/hair still on" or something to that extent, I dont hear "night still young" at all, unless all the versions i have are those versions with the small differences she sometimes does in her concerts.... |
