Well with all of the low growling at the begining I think it has something to do with the hellhounds, possibly from the perspective of Sam as she controls them. Maybe the desire to kill the four chracters is not a willing decision. It may also be from the perspective of Fluffy shortly before killing Sam and Dr. Maxis, based on the cries of what sounds like a girl near the begining and middle of the song. |

Actually, I think "you stand for nothing" is refering specifically for Richtofen, as if someone stands for nothing they have no loyalties. This line probably is refering to when he killed Sam and her father. (Don't know about the "overlooked something" but you might be right on that) "I am the Chosen One" may be refering to how she was able to overcome death and in a way return, or it could be her claiming to be a sort of anti-Christ figure. "Left hand of all that is sacred" is a sort of religious reference. The left hand of anything generally means the opposite of it, in this case all that is sacred, meaning she could be considered satanic. "They're waiting for the second coming again" This is again a religious reference. The second coming is when all souls are supposed to be resurected and judged. More importantly, that means the dead coming back to life. There is a lot of religious imagery in this song. Throughout the song one can sort of hear a conflict between the demonic version of Sam and the normal version. Could mean she is either not fully in control of her spirit, or is torn between a desire for revenge against Edward driven by anger (the demonic voice) and something else (Had it in my head but I forgot it). |
