OK to me the part of the song, "we tried to isolate xx infinite pleasure xy," is like committing in a relationship... the xx and cxy being the sex decision gene in childbirth... infinite pelasure of course being love, sex... isolating it by being exclusive or settling down with someone. |

Absoutely... everything about this song, to me, implies the hardships of dealing with someone with the disorder. It's like he's in love so he's trying so hard to do what he can to help... but she doesn't appreciate it or takes it for granted... or unable to even tell. |

This song, to me, represents a relationship with an idealistic person... who's torturing her lover with her inability to have ideals fulfilled. It's from the standpoint of the person who's unable to suffice what the other wants...
The landcape in her dream... being her "idea" & him having "mountains on fire," is like his desire to to be able to fulfill her standards... which are causing him emotional turmoil... (i.e.- "My head expired."), because he's unable to.
He's tired of wasting his time... "age brings a sad little surprise." And she's in her own world calculating mentally what's not being fulfilled by him. |
