Although It's probably not what they meant.. to me it sounds like someone's sleeping with this person, telling themselves its only casual, but they want more. They can't have a relationship with this person (can't make them hang around), but they can't get them off their mind (can't wash you off my skin). I feel like its someone saying they can go with the flow, although they might not believe it, they just go along with it so they can be with this person and experience highs and lows to 'make it beautiful to live', as well as not caring about themselves and feeling self destructive.
...so probably off the mark but that is how I relate to it! Such a glorious dark song. |

Being this aggressive for no reason makes you look really stupid. If that is true about the toolshed (I've never heard that before), I doubt they'd base the whole band around it,including their name.
I think they're named tool because that's what they want us to use them as. As a dick, as a tool, to use and get what we want, musical satisfaction, spiritual understanding... |
