I think this song has a double meaning to it, about being in a relationship with someone and smoking. When he says "Darling Nicotine" When your smoking your so addicted to it, you need it.- "the feelings that i've felt when i said i needed you" but it doesnt need you - "i don't recall that you would ever say it back" until you decide to quit - "you want me back, back, back" Sometimes you can be in a relationship with someone that is one sided. You need them and love them so much, but they couldnt care less, until you leave them. Then they want you back But i don't know, thats just my interpretation of it. :) |
