I think this song focuses on ending a relationship and of what you go through when you just think about breaking or not breaking up with a person for several reasons that, from your point of view, are affecting the relationship Sometimes I've got nothing to say. Nothing to sing about, That makes you lie awake. -As Ferzaer said before, I interpret this as the real meaning of saying that when you're with your girl, you can't come up with something that really interests her, and even she finds your words or talks (or songs) boring. This is annoying for both. Sometimes I've got nothing to do. Nothing to signal out when I can't be with you. -On the other hand, you find yourself bored, without anything special to do when you're not with her. How should I hold this girlfriend? As tight as I ever could? -You ask yourself what can you do to make her feel fine. You want to hold her and be with her, trying to avoid the fact that things aren't quite right. But you still have doubts: Now, why should I? No reason why. You wore me down. Worse, did I show. - Why should you still doing it when she's just not responding to your love as she used to. Instead, she makes you feel down. Hence, the possible ending of the relationship. The worst part is that you haven't show her how you feel. You try to sleep, but your thoughts keep bothering you, like if they were ringing sounds that don't let you rest. Sometimes we've got nowhere to be. Nothing to talk about. And nothing to agree on -You and the girl don't see each other that often because you don't find the certain place or moment to do it, so you don't really talk about your situation. And if you do, there isn't an specific agreement of how to make things work Musically and lyrically, it's an amazing song. And It certainly describes the situation I'm having right now. |
