THIS is correct. In my opinion this is exactly what this song means. Dead on, akingry. I can relate too much to this song. It sucks. A crappy relationship with a million problems. Yet we stick together because our bond is too strong. We always end up back in each others arms. We belong together. That's all it is. |

This song is hauntingly beautiful to me and has such a true, familiar story that so many can relate to. I'm surprised there's only one comment on it so far. This is what it means to me: After months, perhaps years, of struggling to live up to Jamelia's standards, the singer is finally seeing their relationship in a new light. He realizes that he will never be the man she wants him to be, no matter how hard he tries. If they are going to have any chance of surviving as a couple, she, not he, will have "to make the change", and quickly, because he "can't take you(Jamelia) no more". It sounds to me that if Jamelia doesn't change a little of herself for him, he's going to give up and leave her. |
