Wow, Bybymc, you clearly only stated the negative bits of people with borderline personality disorder and make out like Borderlines are evil!!! First of borderline is very different to Bipolar and schizophrenia, the only symptoms they share with schizophrenia is some but not all people with borderline experience psychosis/ delusions/ hallucinations and with bipolar is the feeling happy and then sad, but people with Bipolar experience either being depressed or mania for a long long time(months sometimes years) where as a borderline can go through feeling angry, depressed, happy in an hour. Also schizophrenia is a psychotic disorder, Bipolar is a mood disorder and Borderline is a personality disorder. So each one is different class of mental disorder. Also, when a borderline gets into a relationship they can be the best partners, very loving and caring and exciting (and also great sexual partners) Yes it's true they have a tendency to be unpredictable and difficult at times but this is manly because they either feel too smothered or because they are worried about the person leaving them, so they will leave that person first. However if the person they are with educates them self on how to be in a relationship with a borderline then it can be a loving long lasting relationship. They very much care if people are hurt by their actions- they are the kind of people to have lots and lots of empathy(You are confusing borderline with Narcissistic personality disorder who are not able to be empathetic) In fact if they have hurt someone, you will find with many it will play over and over again in their head and yo will get many apologies. Aswell, It's not a case of no one has the right to abandon them, that is just what they fear most and have no doubt experienced it in the past normally as a child. They don't hate being alone, sometimes they like to be alone but like the idea that they have someone there if they need them and they will be there for that person as well. Many of them are creative, interesting, exciting, intelligent and very misunderstood. You will also find with most borderlines in times of distress or when they are angry/upset with someone they wont take it out on that person, they will take it out on them self through some form of self harm, overdosing or even suicide attempts. Most people with borderline are borderline because they experienced some form of neglect as a child or some form of abuse whether that is sexual, psychical or mental, normally from someone who was meant to protect them. I'm not saying that people with borderline personality disorder are easy people to get along with, and it is very much a roller coaster with them but if you know someone who had BPD and you educate yourself on the disorder and learn their certain triggers then you can have a good relationship, any kind of relationship such as friendship, family and romantic relationship with them. How I know all of this? I am borderline, have done much research on how the disorder and talked to many other borderline from my DBT group and online forums. We are not the evil people that many make us out to be despite the bad stigma we have attached to us. |

| Okay I think the basic concept of this is about him loving a girl and she takes/took it for granted however I can see another meaning in the song, mainly because of the video but also the lyrics aswell however I haven't slept for 2 days straight and im a bit wired so this might sounds stupid, oh and im not religious lol. Anyway in the video he is dragging a heavy piano which could represent jesus carrying the cross, you have the gang members who shout out him and he doesn't argue back but just keeps walking and accepts it. Thats what happend with Jesus apart from it wasnt gang members lol. He meets other people on the way but noone helps him. Then there is priest and the end before the the train tracks which could be the end of his life. As for the lyrics it's simular to how jesus died for us but we take it for granted and the line: 'Black, black, black and blue, beat me 'til I'm numb' could either symbolise how we talk about religion taking names in vain etc.. or the pain that Jesus went through coming close to the end he just looked numb, didn't let the pain show and the line 'Tell the devil I said hey when you get back to where you're from' Could mean that we are following the devils way and giving in. and so on. Yeah I'm sure it's only coincidence or I'm just going a bit loopy lol. But yeah I'm not religious so im not preaching or anything lol | |
