this song is about pablo missing his grandpa, who is dead. it's obvious. it reminds me so much of how I feel about my grandpa dying. there's so much I wish I would have asked him about, the things that he's been through. and I often regret not being able to tell him about the trip I was on when he died. mah. I love this song |

I came across this song on youtube and I just can't stop listening to it. Although it's in japanese and I have no idea of what she's singing (I did get some clues from watching the video though) I love it! And it's my favourite song for running (: However, I don't really get this translation. Either the original text is this random or the translation is very poorly done. (or maybe my english isn't very good (: ) |

I love this song. It's incredibly beautiful. To me it means not that she has fallen in love with someone who doesn't love her back or doesn't treat her well but that she has fallen in love with someone who doesn't really see her, not that way, and that she is afraid to tell him. And the line "can't you just let me be?" meaning that this person keeps talking to her the same way he's always done and that she doesn't want to know him that way. She want's something more and know she can't get it so it'd be better if he just let her be. It wouldn't hurt as much. Thus he's an almost lover, but not really. I don't think this is what the song is about, I'd rather go with some of the other interpretations, that she's thinking about an almost romance, where the almost lover did love her but that it didn't really work out, or rather that it never really begun. But as the above meaning of the song is something I've experienced I want it to be that way. The wonder of music and lyrics; you can twist and turn it in most ways so that you can always relate to it. Anyways, this song is great regardless the actual meaning of the lyrics. |
