Just hit her if you're at least 10 years older, or get your parents to. 14 year old children should not be into boys and arrogance and narcisism. She needs firm discipline. If she threatens to run away, they should threaten to kick her out of the family and disown her. Family are not to be taken for granted. At the age of 14, the prospect of being out on the streets with nobody to care for her would put the fear into any child's heart. Of course she'll say she'll stay with her friends etc. But let's see how many friends keep her and for how long. There are plenty of tactics you can use. Children, even at that age are malleable and can be manipulated to want what you want them to want. You just have to figure out how, like a game of chess. It's not difficult. Neither of my sisters would ever dream of even getting mouthy with me (because I'm over 10 years older than them) or my parents. |

It seems that all the guys seem to be saying that the girl is singing about a guy. Wishful thinking. The song is actually about a 17 year old girl who had someone she looked up to who spent time with her. This someone was a female, could be in the form of an older friend, older sister, etc. As she grew up, the other girl, being the older one, naturally moved on and left the childhood/adolescent years behind and moved into her adult life. Got a car, got a job, always on the phone, bleaches teeth, wears make-up, becomes too busy for the young girl who is left a little bit lost and confused. My younger sister, who is 17, feels this way. Me being ten years her senior, I no longer have the time to horse around and have had to put away the childish things. |
