| Smile Empty Soul – For You Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Listened to this song on one of the worst days of my life. Turned up the radio all the way, drove 120 on the empty freeway at 2am with tears in my eyes. Wishing I had the balls to turn the wheel to just crash and die. Not one of my better moments. But afterwards I felt just a little bit better. Life goes on. But if anyone is ever looking to let out some pain, put this song on and just let that ending blast |

| I never really cared to delve into the politics or "message" of any RATM song. But I will say that I first discovered the maximum volume setting in my car with this song playing! | |
| Foo Fighters – Everlong Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| If I had to be stranded on a deserted island for the rest of my life and was only allowed one song to bring it would be Everlong. Maybe I could cheat a little on the whole one song rule and bring the acoustic version also :) | |

I'm only 95% sure on those lyrics, but they're much closer than what's up there now. I think it's about owning up to the decisions that you've made. Realization that no matter the circumstance, the individual is still the one who chooses. Oh by the way I really dig this song! |

In the elevator I pick my floor And if I want a battle I pick my war Hold tight Hold on Hold tight I was blind for a time Now I find The choice is mine And I get seasick On dry land And I hear voices Sayin' Do what you can Hold tight Hold on Oh I was blind for a time Now I find That the choice is mine Hold tight Hold on Oh I was blind for a time Now I find That the choice is mine The choice is mine Oh oh oh, oh The choice is mine Oh oh oh, yeah |

| Simple and powerful. I never tire of hearing this song. It feels almost like a prayer to the blues-rock gods. | |
