I could be wrong but I think this song was written as a side-by-side with the story "The Lovely Bones." There's definitely a lot of really good comparisons between the song and the story that I noticed and it makes sense to me. |

Forest fires are obviously destructive. The question is what the subject did. It could be an abusive parent-child relationship, it could be drugs, it could be a crime the subject of the song committed. Personally I think it's drugs. Perhaps the subject like the Joostie said stashed drugs etc. under his bed. The end of the song is a sober moment with the subject and the writer of the song. |
