I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it. Which actually wasn't until "Speak Now" came out. As with most Taylor Swift songs, I draw a line from the song to a certain event or person in my life.This song has a special place in my heart. Only one person comes to mind when I hear this song. The boy that I dated for my first ever long term relationship. We broke up, but we're still very close. He asked me to homecoming and I didn't hesitate to say yes. "My mind forgets to remind me, you're a bad idea." He had dated my now ex-friend for 2 years before he dated me. A lot of drama got started from this... "I'm a house of cards." That line describes how I felt when we first started dating... everyone was against us and It didn't take much to knock me off my feet. He caught me everytime I fell. "Drop everything now. Meet me in the pouring rain. Kiss me on the sidewalk, take away the pain." He stood up for me and was there for me when I needed him the most. And when things blew over and I was upset about something or just missed him and needed to hear his voice, he was there in an instant he took away the pain.
