Lyrics such as "Our hopes and expectations" For me means how you can hope with all you have and expect something to happen (due to a promise or anything) BUT . . . "Blackholes & Revelations" This could be about let down. I have chasing a starlight tattooed on my back as it means if i look behind me (at the tattoo) it reminds me look back on the past and to Chase my own Starlight" That is the interpretation and feelings I get from the song. I definatly agree that Resistance is based around the book 1984. I love how such a book & song is something most people can refer too. I know it's not the same as when is being sung about but lets face it, how many people have snuck around with a boy or girl? But this song talks about the limits of it and what the outcome could be to become exposed. Gesh I feel sooooo many emotions when listening to this. They really have a talent for writting the song in the order of a seperate story itself. You can actually feel the danger in the music itself along with the romance and passion of Matts voice. |

| For me I love this song, I listened to it while going through a break-up & it made me feel great because it encouraged me to think differently. Instead of thinking "oh my god, we are over. I don't know what to do with myself" It made me realise the line "Love is forever" refers to your friend, family and how they are there for you at trying times and that because you dont have that person you can go on without thinking over another person and how your own love is forever even though it's not towards that one person you were once so close too. It's a comfort to think Matt knows how you feel & theres more to it than "me, me, me, me!" AMAZING song. | |
