I’ve analyzing this song for a class, and umma I just want to put my two cents in….I think where Lil Wayne raps: “… Looking to find, A way through the day The life for the night” His trying to state the fact that his trying to hustle for today, and possibly tomorrow. I don’t think it’s about Wayne “grinding” marijuana it’s about him grinding thru life day by day. At the end of the chorus where he raps: “Dear lord you’ve take so many of my people I’m just wondering why you haven’t taken my life Like what the hell am I doing right?” His not only question why his still alive, but his also questioning why is it that bad things happen to good people? |
