Last Verse: This verse was extremely sad and heart breaking. Onika was once pregnant with a little boy and ended up getting an abortion because of people telling her she wasn’t ready. Feeling guilty she begins to her sons voice telling her not to cry. Mainly she just wants to let her son know it wasn’t his fault at all. Someday they will meet again and she will be able to explain everything to him. this song is true, real, and comes from the heart. Honestly, I feel we can use a lot more songs like this. It would be more than interesting to hear what some of the rappers and singers have been through before the glamour life in the light. |

First Verse: In the first verse Nicki Minaj shows her feelings toward her father. She hates him after doing all of the things he has done to her. He came close to killing her mother by burning down their home while she was in it. When this happened it built hate in her heart because her mother is her pride and joy. Second verse: Listening to this, it felt as if Onika has did something terribly wrong to an ex lover and now its biting her back. This man was going to be her baby’s father and the one she wanted to be with for the rest of her life. As stated, he was always there for her when needed and give her the protection she needed. Onika Maraj may have been feeling so overwhelmed with everything that was going on with her family and didn’t realize a good thing when she had it. |
