He's talking about how important keeping a journal is. It's symbolic of the life you're leading, and if everyday you have nothing of interest to put in said journal...then what are you doing? Live your life in such a way that every single page of your journal (or day of your life) would be filled with great things. Tell your story to the pieces of paper (or leaves), and it will be remembered by you, and later maybe enjoyed by all. Not because it was specifically you - although that may be the case - but for all of the things you did that made your life great. You are your journal. Every single thing on those pages are things that you love. If you have forgotten what was worth putting on those pages, it's time to go out and remember. |

I agree. It's almost as if she thinks he is following her, like it's an obsession. I think she just doesn't understand how he wants to be there for her...maybe she never had anyone that wanted that with her, and she doesn't know how to handle it. So she runs away. I could be wrong though - I'm not expert! This is a beautiful song though. :) |
