| Megadeth – Symphony of Destruction Lyrics | 1 year ago |
| Megadeth often tends toward comedy for me. In this case, I know Silicon Valley (the show) wasn't around when this was published, but it makes me think of Jin Yiang. | |

| @[Gabalazriel:51537] rather, especially the part "for the rabbits on the run", as there's a village square in the story. | |

| Paramore – Be Alone Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
I tend to agree, but I wonder, is she singing about "herself" when she says "you should be alone with me?". I first interpreted this song as being about being intimate with someone, and "never getting too lonely". Either way, I agree with you that loneliness can sometimes be... bliss. |

| Paramore – Proof Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
Besides "Still Into You", this song struck me the most from their new album. I listened to it on repeat a number of times - I couldn't get enough of the chorus! This is my purely my opinion, but I think this song is about being not-totally straight - maybe even being queer. "Baby if I'm half the man I say I am; if I'm a woman with no feel just like I claim I am". The duality of the words man and woman really resonated with me. |

| Paramore – Sunday Bloody Sunday (U2 cover) Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
Bands are there to create and reinvent music, and to give meaning to the human experience. I didn't like their cover that much, but they definitely added a new twist to something that's already pretty effing sweet. If someone out there enjoys this version, you can hardly consider the song ruined. You never had to listen to the cover in the first place. |

| Phish – Roses Are Free Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
This song is one of the very first songs I ever downloaded, when I was fourteen. I was looking for another Phish song to prove to people that I was into the same kind of music as them, and wound up with the live version of this song. It's been with me ever since. As a sort of philosopher-in-training, these lyrics rock. |

| Dream Theater – Solitary Shell Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I feel & think this song is pretty much about my life. The "he was drifting in and out of sanity" is a strange lyric - (in)sanity isn't overrated, it is subjective. Thus, while other people might think I was "insane", it's really their own interpretation. I believe I've broken out of my solitary shell now. |

| B.o.B – Airplanes Part 2 Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
"But it didn’t fall in his lap so he ain’t even hear it he pretends that" should be "But it didn’t fall in his lap so he ain’t even here; he pretends that" I like both versions of this song. I feel like Eminem's part really speaks to me about my past. Pretending like I can't do things, lost in my own daydreams and my own perspectives on the world. Always somehow getting by in life, but never quite amounting to much. Haylee's part after the rapping bits are great, they sort of bring hope after all the madness and despair. That's the way I see it anyway. |
