The "I" is a masculine one... only men use "俺" (ore). So it must be from a man's point of view. Must be adressed to someone he really hates, but adores at the same time... I just don't get this "tower" thing... is there a special meaning?! |

I think it is criticism on japanese society. Especially japanese. The social face/private face is a typical japanese thing. The "People stare at me with cold eyes because I'm all wet from not using an umbrella in the pouring rain" seems to underline it. This person is not like the others. He doesn't fit in society, he does not use an umbrella as usually people do. So they all stare at him. They all know that this one is lost in this system and will never have a good job, a family and so on. There aren't as many chances in Japan as it is in western countries. So he is lost in the rain and he has given up all hope, he doesn't use an umbrella anymore. Also the crows and the garbage thing... there are many problems with crows in Japan, especially in summer, when everyone puts his rubbish bags on the streets cause the apaatos are so small. So future is like that...? Well, you can think the rest by your own. Great song. I really love it. |
