I agree with NightNeverSleeps to some extent.
Religious people often think of God as all-powerful and pure, but the god he is bringing himself closer to may be the purity of his opressed instincts. The only salvation he can find is in his own 'perversion'. |

I think Ecstacy is right with the alcohol abuse thing, but I'm thinking it may also have to do with sex, you can only be denied for so long unti lyou lose control, and under the influence or something, things happen that you wouldn't normally be comfortable with. The song may be about takign advantage of someone in this state. I could be wrong too.
The low guitar part with the distorted mutterings is totally bad-ass. Does anyone know what is being said there? Anything? |

It seems like the lyrics are describing the end fo a relationship, where you still love someone but hate them at the same time for not being there. Tomorrow fails to exist, he has to break it tell someone it's over, and he hates how he has to destroy her wish, haunt her in memories. He's felt it too much to care anymore, but she still 'keeps on looking' and can't accept reality. |

It's not meaningless, unless you put no meaning into it. This song is probably designed just to make people think abotu what the words mean, not just one message other than the fact that life is what you make of it.
Personally i think of it as loving someone and needing to change them. |

This is definitely a cool song. Makes me think of a song about Puritania, a place without the flaws of humans. It is the Earth laughing at humans for destroying themselves.
It seems kind of ironic that i find this meaning in it because Puritania is probably the result of human's ability to be selfish and ignorant (thus destroying itself and elaving the Earth defiled). Seems to me that the band is being a bit hypocritical when you look at songs like Tormentor of Christian Souls. |

RemyKilledElvis, I tend to agree with your brother's opinion on the song, but the chorus just sounds so evil it's great. It's erotic of course but it could also be making a point of 'let me know who you are without all the superficial things that influence you, look at yourself as yourself, nothing else'. Someone he loves but wants to show them how to be themselves?

The lyrics are really cool. I don't know if there's deeper meaning in them that I don't know about, I think there probably is. I think this song would go really well with an adventurous/eerie music video, but I'm always thinking of stuff liek that. |
