Actually they told about the meaning of the song in an interview some months ago. In the mourning is about Taylors experience with the break. He was like the thing that kept the band together for a long time being firends with both sides. When it finally came to splitting ut he had the choice of going with his best friends or go on for the fans. Taylor chose us, and had a darn hard time getting over the loss of his best friend. Ofcourse they are still friends, but a lot has changed. The things above are completely true, but the following id my own meaning on it. I know I didnæt say he went with the fans AND Hayley and Jeremy, but that's because I truely think he wouldn't continue if it hadn't been for the amazing fanbase. Now tough I think he oves being a part of Paramore and he will follow Hayley and Jeremy anywhere. The just needed to tour again and get to know eachothers again... With brand new eyes to say it that way. |

In my opinion this is definitely a song about sexual abuse. I am outside And I've been waiting for the sun With my wide eyes I've seen worlds that don't belong My mouth is dry With words I cannot verbalize Tell me why We live like this A person is struggling with what happened to him/her. The memories and everything is pretty much killing her and she doesn't even dare to talk about it. She asks herself why the world has come to this. There are just more and more rapes happening in the world. Keep me safe inside Your arms like towers Tower over me, yeah She is confinding with god. He gives her strength to keep going. The god doesn't have to be a GOD though. For some it may be things like family and music and such. Cause we are broken What must we do to restore Our innocence And all the promise we adored? Give us life again Cause we just wanna be whole This is just how you feel after a sexual abuse. Easy to understand~ Lock the doors Cause I'd like to capture this voice It came to me tonight So everyone will have a choice And under red lights ( That is some street, but I don't remember it now. atleast my sister said something about a street for prostitutes or something like that. ) I'll show myself it wasn't forged We're at war We live like this And I'll take the truth at any cost She wants to make sense oput of this cruel world or something. |
