First of all,the Morning After Dark is about relationships. The whole song talks about breaking up. Timbaland explains in the first verse how he will stay the same reguardless. He indirectly states that the way he was before they got together will be the same way he will still be after the relationship is over. Morning After Dark is a metaphorical phrase symbolizing that during the night,the couple is arguing,fighting,yelling,etc,etc. Things will be better the following morning after the couple works out their problems.
