I think it's about a couple that's on age. They know or sense it's been their last summer because one of them or both will die. They look back at their lives and don't regret on things what happened in the past. They thank each other for the lives they had. :) Great song. :) |

| I think that the character in the song already dead and is looking down to earth to his children/small children. He sees the same things from his own in his children/small childeren. That's why he's is smiling, but is not happy that he died. | |
