| Agree with the previous poster for the most part. Tonight Alive isn't really anything new but their music is catchy nonetheless. As for being compared to Paramore it's not fair but there are moments where Jenna does sound like Hayley, the only reason any female fronted band is being compared to Paramore is because Paramore is the only band with a female vocalist at a status like Jay-Z, Kanye West, etc. Household names. | |

| Sounds like a girl that's getting fed up being the only one to show any emotion in a relationship and is basically at a stop in their relationship where she's basically saying she has so much more to offer but is stuck waiting for the guy to reciprocate what she's feeling. It's come to the point where she wants to break up with him but she can't because he's like a drug to her and by the end she starts to realize she's more without him. | |

Interview with Sam about this song SS: ‘An Open Letter To Myself’ is obviously a very personal song, but can you talk me through the story behind it? Sam: Yeah, I wrote it and essentially it’s a letter to me from my friends. When I’m on tour it’s difficult to keep up relationships with friends so ‘An Open Letter...’ was everything that I wanted to write for them just for them to understand how I felt as well as saying how they felt. Summing it up in a song and sort of switching it around. They’ve all heard it and think the song’s cool so I think it’s served its purpose. |

Sounds like a relationship that started strong but lost its flame as time went on from these lines "But something went wrong along the way You’d come around and there’s nothing left to say" Then the girl said she wanted to end it but never did from this line "I can’t make you want to stay, I tried but this broke under our weight" Basically the chorus is what the guy is saying but he realizes that even the time apart wouldn't repair their relationship. The song is basically him debating with himself with himself whether to end the relationship or not but in the end he ends it not her from this line "Never thought you’d be the last one standing" And he basically accepts what relationship he and the girl has now. From this line, i'm unsure about "You’ll always be there looking over my shoulder" whether the girl or both he and the girl have no hard feelings towards each other at how the relationship ended. |
