| Dia Frampton – Billy The Kid Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| When you say that she gave a nod to the Tom Petty song, both songs are actually based on the legend of Billy the Kid, an Old Frontier outlaw. Personally I like Dia's version better. | |
| Passion – Stephanie Lyrics | 13 years ago |

This is truly a beautiful song. Just watched Passion performing it at a revival in Northern California, and he was explaining to us the story of a 19-year-old girl named Stephanie that he had met during his travels. He didn't know, but she was suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, an autoimmune disease. This song his her story, the story of a girl who is doing all she can just to hold on. By the way, if anyone has free chords or piano music for this song, I'd really love to get a link- I've been searching all over :( |

| Jason Mraz – Butterfly Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| You know, I'm surprised that no one thought of "butterfly" as the kiss. The butterfly kiss? For those who don't know, it's when someone brushes their eyelashes against your cheek. Which would explain "kiss me with your eyelashes tonight." Honestly, this is what I thought of immediately when I first heard the song. And then I listened to it again. Wow. Almost killed it. Almost. But I love the melody. And the passion. But, it was just a BIT too vulgar. :/ | |
| Jack Johnson – Upside Down Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Well, here is MY breakdown (also an amazing song^_^), I'm not saying it's the ONLY one, but it's just my interpretation. "Who's to say What's impossible, WELL they forgot This world keeps spinning and with each new day I can feel a change in everything" No one can tell me that I can't do something or it's "impossible", the world's always changing and we're gonna find a way to do it anyway so don't waste your breath cuz I'm gonna keep trying til I get it. "I want to turn the whole thing upside down I'll find the things they say just can't be found" And in order to do it, I'll look at it differently from everyone else (after all, we all know that that's how Jack looks at things anyway) I'll turn it upside down and get a different view. And I'm gonna find 'em, try and stop me. "I'll share this love I find with everyone We'll sing and dance to mother natures songs I don't want this feeling to go away" And once I find what I'm looking for, I'll make sure everyone feels the same way I do, this sense of pride, and I don't ever want it to go away. (could be a political reference, how people generally like being prideful) "Who's to say i can't do everything well I can try And as I roll along I begin to find Things aren't always just what they seem" You can't tell me what not to do, and once I get started I'll find that everything is different than what I expected it to be, and anyone can do it if they're willing to take the first step and try. |

| Jason Mraz – Clockwatching Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| You guys are all such perverts!!! I think this song is about someone who is trying to make the most of life because they know they don't have much time left. They are trying to occupy themselves, "anything to stop clockwatching", in other words, trying to stop watching the time to see how much time is left and trying to make the best of what they have. | |
| Israel Kamakawiwo’ole – Hawaii '78 Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I am a haole myself, and I don't live on the islands, but I have a deep appreciation of the hawaiian culture. This song means a lot to me, and I think it's wrong what people have done to the islands, what with its commercialism. It's like the history has gradually disappeared over the years. We should be more careful about what we do, because once information like that is gone, it's lost forever. | |
