'his gun's blowin up it's just a warning shot this plane's takin' off on a terror run this night's gonna end like a missile drop we were born to be wasted' I feel like this is something of the sad reality on this rock... that people are very selfish and no matter how much good there can be in the world, there's already a stain on human reputation that there's gun violence, hijacked planes, wars with missiles. The world still turning and being destroyed. No matter what, humans were born to die and usually by our own hands-- leaving a trail of destruction. 'we were born to be wasted' think GTA, lol also, the drugs/drinking-- one gets wasted on those type of 'kicks' |

"I got this feeling it's gettin' me high a little longer" Possibly he's doing drugs as a way to escape reality and sometimes people drown their sorrows away by drinking heavily but THAT good high feeling only lasts for a little while longer, until you become sober and aware. "He's telling me that I got to face it I know I've got to make some changes If he's gonna stay around..." Maybe from their point, they begin to think that maybe it's better to ignore what needs to be done and just face the consequences. That maybe death can stick around and release the heavy burden of living--- BUT He is aware that he's been at his lowest point in life and that because of his actions, he's beginning to feel sickly/depressed/unheatlhy(all of the above) and reality has set in- that if he doesn't take action to change his habits/lifestyle, he will soon die. "Killer with a thousand faces, has got me in his cold embrace" I think the rest of the song carries the message that no matter how hard it is for us to keep going, just remember that within ourselves we have the power to rise again, even if it means alone. I think he wanted to hang on to life and says that he'll get little better than yesterday. Taking it easy and tackling on our issues head on little by little is progress and we are strong. At the end of the song it's very sweet when he makes a promise that he's going to change no matter what and jokes with Death that they wouldn't make good companions anyways! |

I think that the dialogue is from the perspective of a woman who has two personas. Obviously she is suffering mentally from some type of abuse she received as a child. What throws me off is at one point she says "I swear I'll be the best 'boy' in the world" I would really like to know what is being said between 2:38 and 2:47... To me it sounds like: "I can't drive, it's crazy around--! I'm just a soul, shut your thoughts off to keep on. I-Im so sorry mother... I was-- I was just a kid!" and then "It's too late, he was just there. It's always too late." I dunno, sounds kind of crazy and agreed that the song had potential, the voice acting is crap and the dialogue is lolwot, but still the story kind of intrigues me with the car noises etc. that's what I love about M83 is that they use those type of recordings, fireworks, birds, cars zooming by. It's kind of nostalgic. |

I dunno why, but the first verse just reminds me of when I used to be bullied as a teen. I just remember the first time trying to tell some kids to back off from another kid and instead.. they started chasing me and I ended up getting heat for trying to do something 'right'. Counselor said that I should have called another teacher before trying to step in and that I had just provoked the bullys and made things wrong and therefore.. he said it was my fault for being in that situation. Which kinda fits the "system is blind and flawed" part in the song. But yeah, I guess the song is fitting for some who believe that there is a certain destiny for them in life, but just don't know where they can 'properly' fit or which path they can trust. Some people try to look or hope that someone can give them all the answers, but sometimes waiting for others isn't the best choice in life. |

| Eiffel 65 – Hyperlink (deep down) Lyrics | 13 years ago |

"I'll search your browser from here to the end A newsgroup one on one" Mind you, a "newsgroup" is basically like a board where only ONE topic is discussed. A topic of interest. So you can imagine what ppl "cybering" are talking about.. Basically a sexual one on one chat. So sexual browser.. may actually be it. Basically saying "I'M A SEXUAL BROWSER and am proud of it." Saying that he is interested in everything sexual/sexy and doesn't see the taboo in cybering or looking up sex on the internet. |

| Reminds me of how people now these days look to the internet to find a perfect partner. You can get all your 'fantasies' on the internet, create your own world, create your own lover.. but what are you left with in the end? You have to wake up to real life and realize that you're still alone and have to continue the daily grind.. etc.. sigh. | |
| Depeche Mode – Behind the Wheel Lyrics | 14 years ago |

My interpretation of the song is all about sex. "Drive anywhere" This would mean, that he is giving the girl dominance. "Tonight I'm in the hands of fate I hand myself Over on a plate" He's basically going to whore himself out and when I think of "I'm in the hands of fate". He is probably in his rawest of thinking. He may not wear a condom, and whatever happens, happens. "There are times when I feel I rather not be the one behind the wheel" Somedays, he feels that he rather not be dominant, because he doesn't get a thrill unless being the submissive one. Or maybe he is afraid to lose control and hurt her? The rest of the lyrics sums up that they end up having sex the way he described. Him being on the bottom and her riding him! lol I guess he likes being the one pushed down sometimes. |

| Depeche Mode – Never Let Me Down Again Lyrics | 14 years ago |

I think that this song is about two best friends. The male telling the story is saying how his best friend is taking him away from a place that he hates. My guess, is that he hates the city.(possibly the addiction of drugs) Why would someone hate a city? Maybe because it's full of corruption at night or he isn't fit for a noisy/busy environment. Maybe he had a bad time at a club or bar. The best friend gets him in his car and is driving and driving. He's driving fast, that the two men see the world pass by them. Lights stream past them and buildings with people's faces blur in the fast motion. "We're flying high watching the world pass us by Never want to come down never want to put my feet back down on the ground" When you speed in a car, the velocity climbs higher and higher. I think this is what he means by "We're flying high, never want to come down..." "Promises me I'm as safe as houses" The passenger is probably scared even though he really wants the best friend to be speeding and to get him out of the bad place. He tells him to slow down, but the best friend assures him that he's safe with him even though he's driving extremely fast. Houses stand still and don't have any chances of crashing lol, so they're safer than a car! "As long as I remember who's wearing the trousers." Wearing pants like a boss. 'Nuff said. lol no, I'm kidding, but I think he means that the driver is the one in control here, that from experience the two men know that the driver is a very good driver!! "See the stars they're shining bright Everything's alright tonight." Soon, they make it out of the city or wherever the bad place was and the two best friends realize that tonight was a good night out. They get to enjoy seeing the stars together and they realize that a person can really count on their bestfriends to help them escape when they need to. :) |

| Röyksopp – Only This Moment Lyrics | 15 years ago |

"Forces within me mix reason with lust, but i try to accept it and not think it works 'cause I know I might lose you by taking the chance, But love without pain isn't really romance" This part makes me think it's some type of sexual reference of two people in bed at an intimate "moment". You know how there are certain ways to "treat" a girl while having sex, well I think this guy is lacking confidence or is worried about self restraint. I know some people go crazy in bed, but when it's your first time you try to take things slow. Being in bed intimately can bring both pleasure and pain. This is why I think the last line says "love without pain isn't really romance" it could mean that he's still trying to convince himself that perhaps the girl will forgive him for hurting her. Also it could mean how a couple's romance has it's worst and good times. Like arguments, doubts etc. |
