I just realized put the word "gives" in for no reason.

AAH! I get so pumped when I listen to this. The beginning gives sets up the rest of the song! ...Does anyone know if the Starlight Mints are releasing another album?

Also, when the song pushes you to keep eating this popsicle, it's you wanting to grow up. "Wake up"
Or, "Wake up to the sunshine, wake up to the rain, you got what you want now." It's pointing out that we should be happy now that we are adults.
Finally, the song is brilliantly ended with, "Come on kids, we're having a ball, just licking our pop!"
As though to say that childhood is fun until it's over. And, of course to give you that anomynous feeling, the song ends with the same humming from the beginning.
The song is brilliant. My interputation may not have been the writer's intent. It could have been that he himself is childish and finds himself humming and reconcilling to himself.
Then again, could be good old interesting nonsense that Starlight Mint's fans reconize and adore.

This song is magical. It's so childish and yet, it's so adult. I think we can all agree that the song itself is a transition of growing up. You have the anyomunous hummimg at the beginning, which is stopped by a "beep beep". I find that the use of the word "beep beep" is kind of a warning. As though to say, it's not going to last... more later...
