Always assumed Toledo was referring to the city in Spain which has plenty of sunshine, impressive (castle) fortifications, could be said to be along the King's highway (El Camino Real) to Madrid, and is known for making silver jewelry and swords. |

Great song, one of their best. And they didn't get much down and dirty bluesier than this. As for the lyrics, I always thought it was: "Just tell the square to get his hair" -- in other words, grow his hair out, let his freak flag fly, if he is able. If not, well then you better find someone who can do better, like me ;) |

"I can be one you wanna trust" makes more sense
Brilliant song. To me it's about new love where he's starting to make himself vulnerable, both parties are having some doubts, and he's trying to reassure her -- and himself. And then that chorus comes along and he is just carried away by the moment and the emotion -- a fool in love. |
