It's about PCP ("angel dust"). Supposedly it's a horrifying high. It's never good. "If every angel's terrible, why do you welcome them?" if every high is terrible, why do you do it? "And bathing in the moonlight, I'm to tremble like a kitten." and 'bathing in the moonlight', feeling the affects of the high, i'm scared. "if blue eyed babies raised as hitler's little brides and sons they got angelic tendencies, like some boys tend to act like queens." Hitler gave his soldiers methamphetamine. "Oh, if every angel's terrible why do you watch her sleep?" if the drugs are so bad, why do you do them? "You love to hear her sing, wear purple eyes like rings." you love the way things sound and look. "Well the flowers have no scent and the child's been miscarried." but your life sucks major shit when you're hooked on drugs. "Oh, every angel's terrible said Freud and Rilke all the same. Freud and Rilke were both opinionated about drugs, Rimbaud did them, but he didn't have a thing about it. Morrison did drugs in an elevator. He eventually OD'd and died. If the drugs are always 'bad', why do you do them? You provide the drugs, i'll provide the money. She sounded high when she was crying. I can see how someone would think it'd be about women but it's definitely about drugs. |
