Looking at the lyrics, they make me think that he really likes/loves someone, but they don't feel the same way. "You're running after something that you'll never kill", could imply that she wants to stop him feeling the way he does about her, but he's telling her that it will never stop. "If this is what you want then fire at will" could mean that if it's what she really wants, then just tell him, and he'll stop chasing after her, though his feelings won't go. I don't know, just my ideas :) |

I love this song, one of the best from one of the best artists. They probably weren't written for this, but the lyrics: "'Cause there's no such thing as rockstars there's just people who play music and some of them are just like us and some of them are dicks" reminds me of Axl Rose xD |
