Judas Priest – Fever Lyrics 11 years ago
Coming off Screaming For Vengance it was always easy to overlook this track i suppose but not for me. In fact i'd go as far as to say it's my favourite track. This is wall-to-wall classic JP songwriting. I've heard it a thousand times and still the section after the solo makes my neckhairs stand and just lift me clean off my feet.

What its about? Rather obvious id have thought: love, desire and longing for that "someone" and all the feelings that go with it.

Saxon – See The Light Shining Lyrics 13 years ago
Update: (Not that it seems like many others are gonna read this but what the hell, im gonna post, someone, someday might think "wtf?" like i did..)

This song ive found out after copious research is about a Biff and Fast Eddie Clarks many late night poker games they had together on Motorheads Ace of spades tour, waaay back in the long, long ago. Apparently, on the original pressings of "wheels of steel" Eddie gets a mention on the back cover as inspiration for the track.

The ultimate ambigious lyric or a work genius? I dont know so im not gonna pretend to tell you what to think either. Still, id love to corner Mr Byford one day and ask him what he had in mind when he wrote this..

Megadeth – Reckoning Day Lyrics 13 years ago
This song - at least, as far as im concerened - is about drug abuse, specifically heroin. Its lyrics were written by Dave n' Dave and its a) well documented that theyve been raging heroin addicts (the whole band was at one point, if not several) and b) the several references in the song such as the physical symptoms of a high "itch/bitch", symptoms of withdrawl; "stomach knots/stop", anyone whos been hooked knows what this is about and how helpless you feel at this point whixh leadas nicely into how you'd do anything to get a fix regardless of how much it costs, how big a victim you become and personal angusih it causes; "Pray/prey" and "Attack/Back", and how you in the end pay with your life for your folley; "in the ground".

Anyway, thats my two cents. It makes sense to me. People will always project their own experiences into lyrics that are open to translation and i can kinda see what some of the others here have supposed the song could mean but still, im reckoning day wrong and im right. Hehe ;p

Peace
