I read somewhere that this song was based on a Freudian concept of human beings existing without their bodies, which at the time I had no idea what meant, but now with modern technology and cyberspace I understand, I just wish I knew where I read that...thought it might have been on here? Anyone know anything about this? |

YES YES and YES and it reminds me of a track on the xx album which is also the almost exact intro to Wicked Game' think it goes " can't give it up...up for someone new, because I care too much, care too much, care too much". Unrequited love hey... |

It's called Falsetto and very rare amongst male artists...they actually departed from a record company over the refusal to remove the falsetto vocals from Origins of Symmetry. If you were one of the only credible performers in todays society (not including operatics) to be able to perform Falsetto as perfectly as Mr Bellamy...you would deviate from the "normal" too. |

Well...very clever...I have studied that cover and got nothing...which is probably why I failed my semiotic essay. I love this forum, it doesn't matter what the song is about (any song), you take your own interpretation and if you don't have one you're satisfied with ,you come to this forum and choose one you affiliate with best. And even better if it comes from a Muse forum. thanks for posting :) |

Fairies would make sense...and as much as I'd love Muse to sing about fairies, they are probably more likely to sing theories...I speak as someone who knows much about the band/and their veiws...but I think you're right on the "authoritative control". But Muse do deviate from religious/political themes, there are some lovely love songs to their discography :) |
