my god, this has absolutely nothing to do with Kurt Cobain.
This was her come-back single, and while some of the lyrics may not imply it, it's actually her ode to Hollywood. 'so glad you could make it' is her appreciation for hollywood accepting her newly clean and sober. while it didn't last, to me it's a feelgood song. |

while this is a beautiful song to listen to and i can definately hear the implications about giving yourself over to love and such, when i listen to the lyrics, i personally feel like it could almost be coming from the perspective of battling drug abuse. i can just picture someone lying alone on a bed going through a detox...they're mixed emotions and inner-conflict, wanting help but blocking people out, trapped inside they're sick bodies...
anyway, that's just me throwing in another perspective, not sure if anyone else felt that too. |
